Totally agree with this guy, specially the part where is he says "Steam is the champion of PC gaming".

I personally have over 150 games on Steam. I was recently shifting my house. My brother who previously used to be a console gamer (now games mostly on PC) he had a huge collection of console games too. It was a nightmare for him to shift all those hard boxes to the new house. All i had to do was pick up my Rig.

Like the guy said PC usually is two steps ahead of the competition, and one of the reasons why i too perfer PC gaming is because the genres i like to play cant be played on a console or are not as good as the PC versions that includes RTS, FPS, MMOs.

Right......and when you're hard drive crashes like mine it's gonna be a pain re-downloading those games again. And I can still sell the games when I get really tired of them which makes having a physical copy worth it.

Umm no thats not what happens. Hard drives if kept in a good environment hardly ever crash. If you have a casing with good airflow HD hardly ever crash. I personally have had HDs last 3-4years without failing at which point i would simply replace them with newer tech.

Even if my gaming HD was to crash, i have a Back up HD (2tb) which has all my games stored. Hence even if gaming HD did crash it would only take 30-45mins to restore all my games.

Well all PC games need installations, and i would say now a majority of console games too need installations. Hence the HD failure part is pretty moot point now. If it does fail wether you are on PC or console your games probably wont work.

Well it happened to me because of a certain flooding and I learned to appreciate a physical copy. Anyway both digital and physical copies have their pro's and cons. Not all hard drive are built equally and there are many factors like viruses, faulty hardware and so on that contribute to its failure. I just simply prefer my copies tangible and displayable.

It's better to have to re-download than to lose the games forever. A little over a year ago, I emigrated from Iceland to Denmark and a few of my disks broke in transit. The games I had on steam I re-downloaded. My console games, however... No such luck.

Of course both have their pros and cons and having a retail copy is always nice, but after my experience, I'm a firm supporter of the digitalisation of video game distribution.

I loved the flexibility Steam gave when it comes to storage. God knows how many times I have move the Steam folder around in the last 3 months since I started a major PC upgrade.

As for selling back your old games...isn't Steam offering a service just like that starting last year? Only it involves the digital games that you downloaded from them instead of the traditional physical copies. Don't remember the name of the service since I intend to keep my games...well, except for Alien VS Predator (2010).

Retail i have noticed pc games getting more shelf space again its great to see.

If I have the option to get retail or digital I would go for retail always.

If I have the option to get retail or digital I would go for retail always if it's a major game I want like Shogun 2.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos31m ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
