GameShark - Nano Assault is the 3DS debut for developers Shin’en, who graced the DS with a couple of that platform’s only 2D shooter options. The Nanostray games were pretty decent, but they were workmanlike and rather bland from their visual design to gameplay elements to their soundtracks. Unfortunately, Nano Assault carries on this tradition of dullness despite being, again, a pretty decent and competently put together game that also happens to look really damn good in 3D. Other than a couple of well-implemented borrowed ideas, you’d be hard pressed to identify anything that makes this game stand out in a crowd.
Nano Assault is a particularly fit game for going mobile as it has many short and intense levels that suck you in, especially with how well the 3DS's 3D actually works. Developed by Shin'en, they've made several smaller games that you may have come across, Art of Balance and FAST Racing League to name a few.
FanBolt writes: "Nano Assault EX was announced earlier this morning via Shin'en Multimedia's Twitter account. Nano Assault was originally released on the Nintendo 3DS as a retail title last December, and is now being re-released in digital form on the Nintendo eShop in Europe and North America. The initial release, a spinoff of their acclaimed Nanostray franchise, was met with favorable critical reviews. The new version is “based on the original release but with new game modes & options”."
believe me or not, but those are the best news for today (in gaming), I've waited for soo long of this game's announcement in Europe (no matter eshop or retail).. game has got lots of great reviews, graphics, which for me is better than Resident Evil 3ds..and other this: I just love shooters - shmups!!! we need more games like this and like Omega 5 (still waiting patiently for new on 3ds, hope it's not canned), Mushihimesama..pleaase, make some shmups for 3ds eshop in 3d, pleaaase!! :)
but still, I'm happy that at last I can buy it.. Shin'en are great devs who make good games and with good graphics on Nintendo platforms
