a mass effect tower defense game please. waves of husks versus squadrons of normandys
I'd say we'll see a PS Vita and/or 3DS Mass Effect spin-off title. I'd buy it!
More like Bioware selling out and EA milking Mass Effect. Anyone who were fans of Bioware last gen know this is true
KOTOR was a great game last gen. The Mass Effect games are great games this gen. I'm a fan of both. And if anything I think Bioware are getting better. Nostalgia and the fact that KOTOR was a great use of the Star Wars license has helped paved over some of it's faults. If anything EA should be praised for having faith in Bioware & providing the funding to create a whole new IP.
EA didn't have faith, they saw dollar signs. Who would turn down BioWare's attempt to create an MMO based on their hottest RPG based on the hottest license out there? Especially when EA can take control of BioWare itself in the process.
@Tony P: You do realize that EA bought Bioware before the release of both Mass Effect & Dragon Age? Of course they saw dollar signs, companies don't tend to last too long when they set out to lose money! Do you think the likes of Valve or Bethesda would still be making games today if they didn't turn over a profit? But rather than handing Bioware an established franchise, EA provided them with the cash to create not one but two brand new IP's. Not exactly something you'd see other large publishers such as Activision or THQ doing everyday. And ambitious games such as ME require a financial gamble, and it has certainly paid off for both EA and the studio.
Mass Effect 1 was before EA purchased Bioware.
Mass Effect is a great series, but they should definitely take a break from it for a while after Mass Effect 3 releases. Keep the people wanting more, I know people still want a true ending to KOTOR, not the rushed one in KOTOR 2, which was made by a totally different company. Jade Empire 2 would be great, or a new ip or even a decent Dragon Age sequel.
