For Law & Order fans, the opening sequence to each episode is as familiar as the catchy “bum-bum-bum-bum-BUM” tune that plays after it. Nothing quite says Law & Order like it, and TellTale Games has stayed true to the fanbase by giving Law & Order: Legacies the feeling of stepping right into an episode of your favorite show. But the true test of a game like this is balance. Too much show and you’ve got an interactive television program rather than a game. Too much game and you’ll turn off fans who fall more into casual than hardcore gaming categories. Does Legacies hit the sweet spot, or are gamers destined to watch rather than play?
