OXM speaks to Mass Effect 3's producer about Shepard's last hour... and what comes next.
I wonder what they'll do next storywise. Hard to top mile high sentient machines trying to destroy all life.
Instead of Man vs. Machine, they'll make it Man vs. Man or Aliens. Reaper remains will become very valuable, and since Reaper Tech is extremely advanced, alot of races will want as many parts as possible. In the end the races will go to war. How the story will flow There's a conspiracy. Shepard fires the first shot(or so it looks). Galaxies are about to go to war. Shepard has to solve the mystery and clear his name.
The part about the reaper tech seem somewhat reasonable. Whats stopping someone from accidentally bringing a Reaper back to life? Overall your story seem more like DLC rather than a full game.
Thanks. "Overall your story seem more like DLC rather than a full game" Well, this DLC would at least be somewhat interesting lol.
I reckon they should do more survival horror type stuff. You see flashes of this at intervals in the first two games. Imagine a mini-campaign that takes place entirely underground, with lots of trawling through blood-stained datapads and uncovering crazed survivor stories.
and yet someone pulls strings on reaper puppets.... someone not entirely unknown.... manipulates events to further agenda,,... on a scale unimaginable until now...
It would seem the rachni wars would be an obvious thing to cover. Could be tricky though to market as there won't be any humans
Well and if they want you to save your ME3 save the Rachni War thing wouldnt make sense. If they did want to go back and do a prequel the Rachni war followed by Krogen Rebellion would be cool. But like you said, no humans and its not clear if gamers are ready to step into the full time shoes of a salarian, Turian, or Asari.
Perhaps how the reapers came to be and who made them??? Who is to say that the reapers will just kick your ass at the end no matter what... I think that would be kinda cool ending. Obviously, not many people would like that.
I love the idea of a Mass Effect 4 but I wish Bioware will start creating new games. We all love sequels (I still want KOTOR 3 and Jade Empire 2) but I think they should start creating new IPs.
As long as it ISN'T a prequel like a few here seem to hope. Prequels lack excitement because you kinda know what happens from the outset. You know XYZ cannot die because they appear in the next game, this also makes plot choices inconsequential. Though either-way I am a little disappointed they backed down on their "Trilogy" goal for obvious milking, still a chance this will be the end of Shepard's story and the start of someone elses.
I beg to differ. Halo:Reach was one of my favorite prequels. The trick is not to make main character line from today's characters. Need to add a main character that we know nothing about but in a way that still ties the story together and gives us a feel of the complete story. I actually am still looking on a spin off of Jack in her own ME story. DLC would be ok for that... but a massive story with her meeting up with new characters that she would need to team up with. And even a cameo from older characters would be nice.
Just hope they don't milk the series the wrong way.
A good article but they didn'treally talk about ME4, they just said they think the interviewer's idea of seemless online intergration would be good for a future ME.
Galactic Invasion. that would be pretty cool and a clever way to create new species and enemies!
Wait what? ME3 is not even out and already they are talking about ME4. Ok I'll make this perfectly crytal clear. I LOVE Mass Effect, LOVE IT. If they don't finish this story arch in ME3 I will walk away from it.
No you won't... stop lieing to yourself.
