kinda catchy!

Even though NZ is small, every little bit helps and this is how the PS2 dominated last-gen.

...and caught up with a Gamesman ( store owner in Wellington and he said that 20,000 PS3s had been sold so far. Not big numbers really.

Also, only the 40GB SKu is available in NZ. Furthermore, Sony NZ has not yet introduced dedicated servers for PSN. PS3 owners need to connect to PSN servers in Australia.

Anyway, knowing all this, are there any NZ PS3 owners who can comment on on-line play on the PS3 in NZ. Especially around COD4? I am looking at getting a PS3 in the new year but am concerned about Sony's lack of commitment/support to PSN in New Zealand.

I'm in Auckland and have a 60 gig ps3. I'm on Xtra - that $45 per month unlimited broadband thing? We know the internet speeds are really slow in NZ, but i play A LOT online without any probs. Make sure you open up the ports on your ps3 so it matches psn. Otherwise it will keep signing you out. For COD4 make sure you open up ports UPD 3075 and 3074. I don't usually have to wait more than five mins and have perfect play. Hope this helps. Any questions feel free to PM me.
