There is a fix to this thank God, but it still needs to be sorted out by Sony.

how about removing the blue light?

anyway, back to reality: it's a 'freeze' for goodness sake. death is something far more serious... you ask my Aunt Edith (god rest her soul)

I had my Vita for a month now (HK ver too), I never had this problem and I hope I never see it but its good to know there is a simple fix for it.

Yeah, I've had my JPN system since launch and never had this.

One thing I did do though was change the default power saving time from 1 minute to 3 minutes. The 1 min time frame is really short and my Vita kept going into power save mode when I didn't want it to.

At 3 minutes though it's perfect.

Yeah that 1 minute default was just silly, I thought my Vita died when it went to power save mode the first time it happened lol!

Blue light of death, thats a little misguiding. It dosen't brick the system so it's not the blue light of death.

Same as the original phrase "Blue Screen of Death". It didn't brick your computer, just made it freeze. So the name fits.

Easy Solution
press power button for 1 minute
then press again.

This should work
