Loved that long ladder climb in Metal Gear 3... but not on this list? Why not?

Yeah lol the ladder should have been a boss fight... Ans the author needs to do a little research before posting dumb sh*t, metal gear was not on the NES

Took me ages to figure out that you could use ketchup to fake Snake's death in the jail cell. I was playing a Japanese import copy and couldn't understand what the hell was going on. Same goes for Meryl's codec frequency on the box.

Seeing as I didn't have a box with it, that was a huge issue :/

Fail all round really...

I knew a lot of these, but they're all really great ideas. Proof Kojima is such an inventive game developer - it's a shame the story is utter nonsense.

The story isn't "utter nonsense", it's one of the most creative and well thought out plots of any video game. The mixture between seriousness and humor are perfectly done in the MGS games, and although the stories are complex, if you look up the details, everything connects throughout the series. There's no way you should be calling the story nonsense if you played the games.
