BeefJack: "The dearth of interesting things to do in singleplayer is a letdown, even if you can take on randomised AI fighters or dip into the tough-as-nails Legendary Souls mode, but SoulCalibur V’s depth and differences defy its familiarity, leaving before a gorgeous, slick and endlessly playable fighter: there’s even a levelling system and hundreds of title cards to win. It probably won’t win over any die-hards, but the stage of history has been set on ground not as retrodden as you might expect."
