OXM UK: "Sega has pushed back Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines from spring to autumn 2012."
The official page has reverted to "spring 2012". Curiouser and curiouser.
Figures. They've got Max Payne 3 and Mass Effect 3 to contend with in the spring. Late summer's looking a bit emptier.
Autumn will be worse with the likes of CoD and Halo 4 releasing around then.
They could sneak it out back-end of August, steal a few early Christmas shoppers, then pimp it throughout the festive season. They've got unrivalled brand penetration - they just need to work out how to differentiate the game itself. I'd suggest teaming up with Fox and the movie bods to do some sort of joint commemorative thingy.
Its cool, just make the game perfect.
Arrg. Ah well, still looking forward to it.
With all the delays it BETTER be good
Autumn 2012? So Sept to Nov or better put...holiday 2012. Autumn was a curious choice of words. I wonder if they are thinking early Sept but are trying to find the right spot to avoid things like Halo 4 and CoD:Blops2. Edit...I mean unless there are issues with game I would think it in their best interest to avoid the Sep - Nov push of big games and release earlier, maybe even August time frame.
The only reason for game being push back is to make sure WiiU version is finish for launch...
A little bit dissapointed cause i want to play this game before Prometheus got out in the cinema. But oh well...
