Resident Evil 6 is 'dramatic horror' not 'survival horror'

More QTEs and cut scenes perhaps. Action usually means shooting, punching or slicing stuff. Dramatic usually means we're spend more time watching amazing things unfold, as opposed to doing them like in a normal action or survival game. Horror means watching those long cut scenes again and again if we fail to press the proper QTE buttons at the correct nano second.

Then you cry.

There goes tryin to survive. That's the only way to scare people. The threat of death. This tells me that its a zombie action game with horror elements (likely gore and pop ups) and jar acted drama...as an action game ok. But this is RE and fans won't take that approach well.

Meh. To hell with Capcom. They've clearly lost the plot and it looks like they're trying to emulate those crappy paul ws anderson movies. Maybe if we want RE games to be good again, everyone should avoid watching that crap.

I'm not picking up street fighter x tekken either as they'll just release another one 6 months later.

And the way they handle and price DLC is bloody ridiculous.

Hamming it up isn't dramatic. If that were the case, CSI: Miami would be the greatest drama to have graced the small screen.

And there's no horror, either. The game is horror themed, but it is not a "horror" game. None of it is horrifying or scary, and it never has been. Castlevania was horror themed, and the only scary part about Castlevania was how scarily angry it could make the player.

Is that what we're going for, Capcom? Are you trying to make Resident Evil fans scarily angry?
