So far, the PlayStation Certified program hasn’t been that impressive, only offering a few PlayStation One titles with added touch controls. But the program looks to be taking the next logical step and adding more recent PSP games. - PSLS
Pretty cool, I don't know how well touch screen controls will work though. I am also suspiciously awaiting Sony going third party jokes.
well since they did announce that you will be able to use a DS3 with some tablets, this could solve their problem. Hopefully it just doesn't take away from their PSV market.
I wouldn't want to carry around an extra controller with me. Probably gonna use the touchscreen to simulate virtual buttons. I tried it before on a phone with emulated games... it sucks. Especially if your fingers aren't small enough. It works but it's nothing like physical buttons. So not entirely sure how it'll work on these Sony devices. ____ It could be a good way to lure casual gamers onto real gaming with a PS Vita, for example. Kinda like "Hey, these are the type of games you can play on Sony devices! If you like more immersive games like these and a lot more, you know what to do/get. PlayStation!"
Well you could play it on the xperia play if you have that, and on top of that sony already said that the psv has playstation suite included along with psn psp games
DS3, 3DS* :P
This could be a good move on Sony's side. Allowing a bigger market to be introduced to some of their flagships could draw in a new set of fans.
Smart move. Soon we'll see some developments out of the PlayStation Suite initative, too.
Anything to get a few more dollars out of some really good games (and some crummy ones), sounds like a pretty solid idea to me.
so 2 psp games is noteworthy?> not really if you want psp games the way they were meant to be played and 99 percent of the libary not on tablets get a psp
It means more PSP games are coming.
but they probably arent............so its no big deal if they cant get the umd passport program to work for more than 20 percent of releases. I doubt this will go smooth
My Tablet S came with Pinball Heroes and all those mentioned tables. Pretty cool to hear more are coming. In Japan they have Loco Roco Midnight Carnival available for the Xperia Play. wish someone would make a wikia about all these PS Certified devices and Playstation suite games.
If they confirm I could play PSP games using a Xperia play phone and will add this feature real soon I would go right now to buy one. My PSP 2000 is getting old after like 10,000 hours or more played on it .KKK Man, I would love to have a phone like that to play well all my PSP games that I bought from PSN . But it seems I would need to rebuy all those games from the damn cursed PS Suite. Anyways for those that never owned a PSP then they could get a Xperia Play for that and PS one classics + a PSVita with 32G card just to fill it with Vita games.
Interesting. Smart move on Sony's part.
Xperia Play just got a whole lot cooler.
Smart move by Sony. The best way to play these games will still be on a PS though, even better on a Vita.
Not a bad idea. Hopefully, they'll retain the quality of the graphics (or even make them better)
