Its has become rather apparent that in this day and age in gaming that there is a large quantity of product placement in games, but when is it the time to step back and say enough is enough? According to a job listing on Blizzard Entertainments website they are now looking to hire a new Franchise Development producer for next-gen MMO. With that said one can only assume that they are looking to further reach out in making franchise related products and that this position would only cater to reaching out in order to produce Books / Novels, Action figures, Comics, Short movies, and Apparel such as stated in the job description. On further reading there is a statement that now implies that the franchise is looking to do in game product placement as stated in the following requirement "Work with major consumer brands to facilitate product placement and licensing within the world of Blizzard Entertainment's next-gen MMO that enhances the gameplay experience."
