Resident Evil 6: Where Is The Wii U Version

The big announcement today was that Resident Evil 6 was being released 11/20/2012. Capcom also released a trailer showing off the new run and shoot gameplay. Then, the game was announced for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles. Something was missing, the announcement that it was being released on the Wii U. (Resident Evil 6, Wii U)

I was wondering the same, it could have a Wii U version and Nintendo doesn't want Capcom to announce it until E3, there could be a live demo on Nintendo's conference, who knows.

Nobody is going to announce a Wii U version of any game (officially), until Nintendo unveils it properly and release the launch line up, and future games that will be available.

Also, Resident Evil 6 has a release date in the trailer, and by announcing a Wii U version, they will basically announce that the Wii U will be available by that date, which Nintendo won't allow, until they say so themselves.

It is very likely that it will be a Wii U version though, the same for most of the games releasing by Q4 this year. I don't think Nintendo would let go an opportunity to have a wide variety of games at launch.

It's commin. Resident Evil 4 on Wii, Revelations and Mercenaries on 3DS, it would only make sense that it would come to Wii U. They're just waiting to announce it.

im glad because then the WiiU version would be same as ps3 just in 1080p/60fps but hopefully this means a superior version is coming abit like NG3 Razors Edge im glad.

Me too , I'm definitely picking up a Wii U.

I've been holding back on multi-plat games that will be ported ( like Batman AC) - I might as well pick up the special edition when released on the Wii U.

I'm hoping Res Evil 6, Bioshock Infinite and the new Tomb Raider all make it to Wii U also.

Think about it; not a single game has been announced for Wii U. I think Nintendo wants to announce all of the title for Wii U before Capcom starts announcing them.

I'm confident this will appear on Wii U and I'll be damned if I don't pick one up for mine.
SoundGamer  +   1224d ago
Actually, a few games have been announced for the WiiU; Both first and third party games.
PopRocks359  +   1224d ago
Well sure, mostly just ports of other previously released games thus far. But nothing that will have launched with or after the console. I reckon if it is announced for Wii U, Nintendo will want to make a big deal out of it.

I don't see many people going for the Wii U, online will probably still be as poo as Wii and 3DS with codes etc, and Nintendo what really be getting a lot of the hard core back who will wait for the new PS4 and 720 that we all know will be more powerful anyway,

Well they already said that WiiU WILL NOT use friend code and its supposedly 3-5 times PS3 power. We have no idea the power of PS4 and 720. The only rumor I've seen about Ps4 is that is won't be much more powerful than PS3 so it will be cheap and aimed at casuals.
Half-Mafia  +   1223d ago
Nintendo has everything about the WiiU under wraps till E3. The WiiU will probably have the best launch lineup out of any consoles because its going to have all the same games the PS3/360 has around OCT/NOV 2012.

COD
assassins
Bioshock
RE6
ect.
A7XEric  +   1223d ago
Regardless if it's coming to the Wii U or not, do you really think Nintendo wants developers to announce new titles for the system before E3?
Ness-Psi  +   1223d ago
it will come to WiiU like a lot of other games out at that time but most companies are waiting till Nintendo officially unveil the WiiU.
