#6) Eating 85 potatoes while a pack of ice wolves patiently waits for you to be done. Pausing the game is one thing. Pausing the entire world while managing equipment is another thing, though it should be discouraged. Pausing to heal destroys immersion.

Lol I remember you saying that in another article. I agree with you though, after playing Demon's Souls, it felt very akward to be able to pause in other rpg games. In fact, it felt just plain wrong. Really does seem to break the flow.

Yeah, its my battle cry of the month, and the whole concept still makes me laugh. =)

In all seriousness, the original RPGs made you heal on the fly in turned based combat. Tiamat would laugh at you if you tried to paused the game to heal in FF1.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... Dark Souls has ruined my perception of games (in a good way!).
