With Rumors of the Nintendo’s Wii U releasing sometime this year, Japanese NTV has advertised that it will be out by September.
That makes sense. My first n4g article ever was me talking about a September release with pikmin 3 and September is usually when big AAA titles start coming out. Games like FIFA, NHL, GTA V will be out by then. Still don't know If it's true but it's more realistic than February lol
It should be shortly after E3. I see no point why they would release it in september. If they manage to get the buzz around like they did with Wii. Then Nintendo can build up enough hype and prep up for the holidays. September seems a bit late( not unrealistic, just late imo ).
i reckon september too. (but i hope sooner!)
29 Sept 2012. That is when I thought it would release when they announced it would be launching this year.
Even though I have no interest in the Wii, the Wii U has got my attention. I might even purchase one.
I just don't see this thing taking off like the Wii. They need a really strong release line up, but even with that I just couldn't see myself playing on a huge controller like that.
Yeh I'm still on the fence about it. Bought the wii on launch and I can honestly say wii bowling got played more than anything, and that's sad.
I just can't get over the controller.....it will end up like the Wii and it's motion controls, everyone will be like "OOOOOOOOOOOO" when it comes out then a year or two later people will get bored of it and want a more traditional controler which will make them more excited for the PS4/720. It's like they want to go core again but are still trying to cling onto the idea of this core/casual console.....sorry Nintendo but it just dosen't work, you etheir have a console thats core or casual. They should announce a traditional game cube style controler that will released with it.
I don't see what is wrong with this controller, it has all the buttons of a 360 controller, just with a touch screen and most hands on say the controller is very comfortable and light
It doesn't have the clicking of the analog sticks. The analog sticks themselves look more like slide pads as well.
I don't get it. IT IS a traditional controller. Just with a screen in the middle. God you people are blind. IT has the same face buttons and shoulder buttons than a PS3/360 controller.
It looks to basically be the evolution of the Dreamcast controller.
A September release seems plausible, at the start of the road to Christmas, as some my say, looks like a good idea to me. An October or November release my make the month yet again too packed with releases leaving the Wii U launch in a tight space to sell its self compared to other titles on other consoles.
the Wii U controller is a standard controller with a touchscreen, mic, camera, sensor bar, rumble, and motion controls and nintendo already said many times they want the core gamers back so you can play with the classic controller pro which is the best regular controller i have ever used!and before that i thought my xbox 360 controller was the best regular controller!if you don't believe play call of duty m.w.3. with it you will see!! but september seems like a good month to launch!but i hope it's june! and p.s.i love 3ds'es slide pad it works great it wouldn't be bad for a home console even though i heard the wii u has bigger and better versions of the 3ds slide pad!but don't worry if wii u does great ps4 and the next box will have there versions of tablets with slide pads too!
When journalists says the controller is light....keep in mind they used it for 10mins. This will fail. Or rather, it will under perform and price cut will be required to bail it out. Nintendo has a family image. So no saints 3 type games. Ninja gaiden 3 with no dismemberment. Controller still meant for casuals....you hardcore? Try playing for 4hrs with it!
lol what the hell are you on??? who says that nintendo doesn't have Mature content games on their console?!? Journalist have said its comfortable to use. So stop your trolling. There is going to be plenty of 3rd party support for the wiiU. How about you wait till the thing comes out and then judge it.
I guess you don't own a Wii because if you played Madworld, No More Heroes or that new House of the Dead you would know their are a few mature games for the Wii. By the way have you played 4 hrs on the WiiU? I would like to know if you felt it was too heavy on the fourth hour.
Sounds good to me! right around my birthday! Just hope that as we get closer to E3 nintendo release a bit more info on it.
Im really excited for this. Nintendo is my favorite games/console maker but the wii just didnt do it for me, this seems like a return to the core. To be fair the wii had one of the best librarys ever its just the games seem not as good because theyre not in hd and look last gen. Theyre still as fun but im dying to have nintendo ip's in hd with a controller i can use for streaming and menus, the possibilities are endless. They really stepped up with the 3ds (after a weak ass launch, i mean really really weak), theres too many good games to count and im hoping the wii-u will do the same thing. Only time will tell though, il def wait to see what games are shown at e3. They need to really WOW everybody and show good strong games and not mini games and shovelware casual stuff.
I'm really curious on the price of the system, and that controller
