It's a shame, "simple" arcade racers are my favourite genre :(

Blur was a briliant game, and I have played the tits out of both Ridge Racer 6 and 7 - there would be a sad void without them.

To be fair, Blur was not a "simple" arcade racer.
OT, looking at Ridge Racer Vita, one wouldn't think these guys believed a word of what they are saying. I mean releasing a game with just 3 tracks and 5 cars. . .come on!

Different Devs - The Vita game is being developed by infamous Japanese studio Cellius (famous for doing absolutely nothing since it was created six years ago and headed by crazy Ken)

Oh... so that's why you a-holes made a Ridge Racer game with 3 tracks and 5 goddamn cars and released it for 30 bucks eh?

There is a difference between "simple" and "dumb" Ridge Racer stopped being relevant and truly cool after the ps1 era .

It's the dinosaur that doesnt evolve and gives even less overtime

GT5 sold pretty well...

Its going to be like that scene from the Matrix Revolutions where the Sentinels are about to penetrate Zion. The music gets louder and the tension is beyond palpable.

Brace yourself Sir.

I agree with Baka-akaB, Ridge Racer on PS1? Hell yes! Ridge Racer on PS2-Bleh! it's okay. Ridge Racer on Ps3/360?-Hell No!

I love RR but Namco just isn't doing the game any justice.
