Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3DS Release Date Announced

The title that won my 3DS purchase in the first place now has an official release date. Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3DS will be shipping out sooner than most of us would expect. It will also take advantage of the Circle Pad Pro, should you choose to buy it.

good news for 3ds owners.

the metal gear hd collection is coming to the ps vita which will have a better version of mgs 3 so i see this as a waste. to each his own though, ill respect that some are content with a lesser version of something. the game will require the second analog add on which is rubbish.i know the game will support one analog slide pad but itll be less convenient

The hd collection is a straight port of the original, while the 3ds one has been classified as a "remake" by kojima. At the very least, they are equal, with the 3ds one having only minor differences, like crouch walking.(of course, hd collection has other games. But you didn't mention that; you were comparing mgs3 specifically.)
And while it is nice to see you being more accepting of the 3ds, calling it a "lesser" version is a little self defeating on that front.
Also, why disagree with ps3dude on either of his comments?

Keep in mind Ronin, that the "original port" you are referring too is actually MGS3 Subsistence, which Kojima has stated is the definitive version of MGS3. Not the exact original release which had the camera locked, as well as a few other "quirks". While the 3DS version will breathe a bit of fresh air into the old title, the Vita HD collection will be the one that rings with nostalgia.
