Asura’s Wrath Hands-On Preview | Warp Zoned

Warp Zoned writes:

"Asura’s Wrath is the latest game from Capcom and developer CyberConnect2. This absurdly over-the-top action game features everything from intense Quick Time Events to anime-esque “commercial break” loading screens. The frenetic action, varying gameplay elements, and extreme cinema scenes combine together to make something that, while it’s not unique, is still fun. Be sure to get a bag of ice ready, though, because you’re going to have what I like to refer to as “God of War elbow” in no time."

seemingly this title is not getting muh attention and in my humble opinion it might turn into another miss of a very good game.. i hope it doesn't.

I was on the fence with this once ever since I saw the first videos last year. Downloaded and played the demo and immediately went online and preordered it. It's just so over-the-top. Can't wait to play it.

Loved the Demo....plus I need to see what happens next ...after the whole sword through the earth thing... X)

Lastly, you're right, the game is over the top (and that's not a bad thing).

Ness-Psi4480d ago

it's so over the top in an awesome way cant wait to play the full game.

Just wished the demo had japanese audio.

@jellyjelly
I was thinking the same thing.

For me it had the opposite effect. I was loving this game until I played the demo and now I am unsure. I am still going to buy it, but not sure if it will be at launch or when it drops to the £20 range.

Although it played okay and I loved the over the top action, crazy anime style gameplay, it just felt like a ps2 game from the bland textures and empty enviroments and the constant flashbacks (happened during 2 boss fights, so i can imagine it happening in every boss fight) to seeing his daughter which would make him angry just before an ass wooping was unleashed :s

That and the combat felt like button mashing as supposed to the likes of DMC, Gungrave, Bayonetta or other over the top Japanese games.

I really disliked the demo. Especially the voice acting, maybe Japanese audio would help? Although I will commend the graphics and art direction.

I had no idea Binary Domain was backwards compatible. I know what I'm downloading.

JayRyu653d ago

I would like El Shaddi, Afterburner Climax, and outrun 2 please. I am sure that there are other games as well but those came to mind for me right now.

I really really loved this game. I would really love to play it again but unfortunately my Xbox 360 is long gone.

TheEspiownage1110d ago

It’s backwards compatible for Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X, so there’s still a way to play it on one modern console at least.
