PS3 "Final Fantasy XIII-2" earned the nickname of the speed of light because the next day it was 32% off the sale price
More like speed of "Lightning". Its what happens when a game has uninteresting characters, no world map, poor story, and towns where you cant enter buildings. Japanese people arent fooled just because it got 40/40 from Famitsu
Thank god they aren't Xiii-2 might even be good, but it sold 1/3 of FFXIII on day 1. Shows how much they thought of FFXIII. Majority thought it was **** :P
I'd rather every game drop 33% in price the next day. Save me some money
I hope this game fails so they dont make 13-3
I have to agree with you, the first one, IMO was really bad im not surprise with this, and after all I have a low expectation with VS13 if ever goes out.
It pains me to say it, but Final Fantasy and Square Enix are pretty much dead. What's so sad is you would have to be a moron to not give the fans what they want. Kingdom Hearts HD Collection, Kingdom Hearts III, FFVII remake, not taking 6 years to make an FF game, Parasite Eve on consoles, etc. Oh yeah, your name is Yoichi Wada; you're worse than a moron. There are other RPG series and companies that do it much better and more frequently. tri-Ace, Bethesda, etc. I loved FFXIII, but it has some deep flaws. I love linear titles, but it was TOO linear for its own good. Square can rectify this with FF Versus XIII. It remains to be seen if it will ever release. I think it's about time Nomura becomes the head of the company. He's the only one with any real talent left.
I don't care if this game is the best game ever. Square needs to be punished for the last FF. It was a horrible game. Pretty, but mind numbing. I will not be looking at XIII-2 at all.
maybe i should wait for a little bit if this is likely chance of getting price drop over here in canada
LOL....knew this would happen and I knew it would be crap but the FF13 fans just didn't want to admit it.
Good. I'm just going to rent it, Square need to learn the sales of FF13 wern't reflective of its quality- they were reflective of their fans trust in them based on previous titles. They need to win back that trust- I hope they succeed, I'm absolutely starved of fresh Final Fantasy goodness.
sigh...final fantasy what happened.
Yoichi Wada, he joined SE in 2000/late 2001 People think he was there before
I hope this affects the price of the collector's edition too (that is, for us North Americans).
Well if their nicknames are an indication of their creativity its no wonder it's failing.
The problem with the first game wasn't so much that it was linear. I liked that I was on a journey constantly moving. What I hated was the INSANELY boring battle system. Hit X. Win. Repeat.
