GamesEyeView: Battlefield 3 Review

GEV says: War is constantly evolving. New tactics, new weaponry, new enemies, and new games to mimic them. This past holiday, gamers saw the release of two major contenders, in the battle for modern combat. Modern Warfare 3, and Battlefield 3. While you may have already read our Modern Warfare 3 review, today let’s take a look at Battlefield 3, and see how it ranks. (Battlefield 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

seriously what is the point of articles giving game reviews some 3 months after its been released?

Sometimes, smaller sites receive games from the publishers a month or two after they launch. Other times, when you've got a staff of 4 people, you can't get to everything that comes out the month it comes out.

ok but the the game has been out for 3 months. Who cares? Everyone who cares about the game has already read plenty of reviews on it or has moved on to another game already. I mean seriously if a company cant get to a game 3 months after release then they have no business reviewing the game at all.

Case in point - I just recieved a copy of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure yesterday directly from Activision's PR folks. If I don't review it, They will not send me anything else, late, on time, or otherwise. So ultimately, there are times when reviews must go up, late or not, whether you want to read them or not. Luckily for you, if you've already made up your mind, you don't have to read it. But you also don't need to comment on whether or not we "need" to do the review or not based on the time that's passed since it's come out.
