Top 5 Games With Female Protagonists That Need a Sequel in 2012

:( I miss Nariko and Kai. One of my favourite new IP's this gen. A real pity how NT abandoned HS. Why haven't SONY made a sequel yet? HS sold a ton and deserved a sequel alot more than Motorstorm Pacific Rift in my opinion.

The thing is if they do a sequel I want Nariko to be in it again, if you've played HS and saw the ending then you know why this could be a problem.

I mean theres the people who like Kai saying "Oh we could play her in the sequel" but to be honest I don't know if I could play an entire game playing as Kai...she would get annoying. Besides Nariko, despite the one game, has established herself as a great female character so I hope they find a way to have her as the lead.

I mean NT were going to have the sequel set in hell as an open world game featuring Nariko so theres always a chance but since NT has become greedy and wants more money they decided they'd rather drive the Devil May Cry series into the ground and become one of those most hated developers.

that's exactly why i feel HS doesn't need a sequel. imo it wouldn't be a true sequel without Nariko as the lead, but the ending closed any real possibility of her returning.

*Spoiler Alert* Kratos comes back from the dead every other Wednesday, I'm sure they could cook up a way to have Nariko come back. She died from the Heavenly Sword draining her life force right? Have it give it back so that she can dispense of one more world threatening villain. Then at the end of the game give the sword to Kai and have it take her life force instead because I'm not watching Nariko die again.
Seriously though, it's a story based in fantasy and magic, it wouldn't be far fetched at all if she was somehow resurrected or re-born.
@jt. Actually the story was meant to be a trilogy, the script for the sequel was in fact already written by NT.

i disagree that Heavenly Sword needs a sequel. it's a game that stands on its own--the story was told and left no openings for another game. yes, they COULD pull something out of their ass if they forced it, but i think the game is better left alone.

i would like to see a Mirror's Edge sequel. i loved the gameplay and want more of it.

This was a great list. I haven't had much interest in a Nintendo console since the N64, though I owned a GC for a brief period of time. But if Nintendo were to announce Eternal Darkness 2, I would get a WiiU strictly off that game alone.

As fa as I know the IP belongs to Sony, not Ninja Theory. So Sony is the one who would decide if a sequel is to be made and they could hand it to any developer they choose, not Ninja Theory.

Heavenly Sword is still NT best game in my opinion. I really hope they can make something as memorable again....

Ahhhh, I would kill for a Bayonetta sequel, and the story is like the article said, it's so bad that it's actually good :D. Brilliant gameplay indeed.
