OnLive Cloud Video Game App is Now Available on Google TV

As of a few days ago, speculation began that we could very soon see OnLive on TV’s, blu-ray players and set-top boxes.

OnLiveFans.com’s Ady Carter pointed out yesterday that OnLive released an “OnLive Viewer” App in the Android market, that had just become available for smartphones and tablets. There really is no need for the “OnLive Viewer” since the “OnLive Player” app, which is already available on mobile Android devices, can do everything that the viewer app can do, and more. (Android, Google, Mobile, OnLive, PC)

This could be a big deal for them if Google tv can get going. I guess time will tell for both these ventures.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!
That is big. I wish my Vizio had this app. They should try to get one and get my tv updated. I have an Onlive account but haven't used it in a while. As a pc gamer though, the non optimizing function of a pc game just killed me. I want to change resolution and AA and everything else.

But on television I could see it working. What if steam had a cloud version and a television app?

One downside of the svc is that most games that they have are games that you use a controller for. You probably wont see any RTS games anytime soon.

Cool, just installed it on my Revue.

I was thinking google, who loves cloud stuff more than any other company, would make an onlive competitor.
