Netflix app appears on XMB of UK PS3s ahead of 2012 launch

Connected Consoles: "Netflix has been planned for an 'early 2012' launch in the UK for quite some time now and it seems that today the steps to bring the service across the Atlantic has taken one step closer with the appearance of the Netflix app on the XMB of UK PS3s." (Netflix, PS3)

Just booted up the PS3 to play Dark Souls and noticed that. Didn't even know it was coming to the UK

I'm looking forward to it coming, hopefully we'll get close to the same sort of service the US gets from it eventually, LoveFilm's streaming isn't the best and their app for PS3 is pretty awful.

Totally agree the App is dreadful that they released.

I'v had had an HD TV for 5 years and 8mb BB for 6years but yet only a year a go we get crappy SD streaming from Love Film. Was not impressed when i tried it.

So many of my friends get the highest BB speeds when they become available yet these movies companies still have not jumped on the band wagon. They download movies but most of them would rather not if they could just pay a monthly fee to watch what they like instead.

There is such a massive revenue sitting there they are just not tapping into.

Nice
Although I have yet to get a PS3 again (like the 7th time lol) I am keen on trying this service on the Xbox 360 has the folks in the US have had it for a very long time.

I will be the first off many to sign up for this as long as the service is one par with what the USA are getting!I signd up to LOVEFILM for the second time when I found out that it was been streamed to PS3. What a let down that was!Must the films no one cares about or fuking black and white, Its the 21st century havent you heard of colour OMG!
I read somewhere that new releases would be streamable (I think I just made up a new word) 2 weeks after they have hit the shelves!Well in the USA anyway! If its another USA Lovefilm then you wont got a dime/pound off me I want QUALITY shows and NEW RELEASES!I would honestly pay £50 a month to watch all the movies/tv shows!
