Shuhei Yoshida comments on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD on PS Vita

Shuhei Yoshida comments on the possibility of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition being remade for the PS Vita like what Konami is doing with Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. (Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD, PS Vita)

Well obviously.
.
I'm curious how Kojima & the team would implement the touch-pads, replacing L2 & R2 buttons.

upper part of the touch pad can be used as L2 and R2 while the lower part of the touch pad can be used as L3 and R3.
I found these mapping when I was trying the remote play. It had 3 types of control scheme to choose from.

I don't get it
Isn't Metal Gear Solid HD Collection supposed to include all three ?

Are they leaving out PW for the Vita version of the collection ?

I was thinking the same thing.

Why not jut bring the HD collection over instead?

Japanese version has PW separate.

Correct.

No idea why you have disagrees.

I have both PW and the MGS2 and 3 HD games.

Peace Walker is totally separate, and comes with a download code for the PSP version too, which itself works just fine on the Vita, and you can map the face buttons (for camera control) to the right analogue stick too.

Only downer is that transfarring does not work to the Vita. Maybe they'll release a patch that fixes this. Hope so.

So the collection is remakes of MGS2 and MGS3. That's strange I thought the collection was that plus peacewalker. I thought the Vita would be getting 3 games in the collection instead of two. Hopefully Kojima can clear this up because at the moment I am confused.

This is why the vita isnt selling..........

While the vita is getting konami ports

The 3ds has the original rhythm thief, a new contra, a new castlevania in dev, beyond the labrynth ( a new rpg)

and likely more

new>port

Oh so MGS3D was cancelled? No I didn't think so. Star Fox 64 3D and Zelda 3D and SFIV 3D don't ring a bell?

@ Matrix2k
Yeah, the Vita is a complete failure because it's doesnt have 100% new IP's like the 3DS. It's a good thing the 3DS isnt 80% ports and remakes like the Vita. Also, all those games that got cancelled for the Vita (Assassins Creed, Saints Row, ect) have me worried....Oh wait.../s

And you don't think the 3DS won't have it's own fair share of ports ?

Also:

3DS = 51 days away from reaching 1 year since release.

PSV = 20 days since release. Not even a whole month.

So, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a new IP. Then what the hell did we saw in N64 and GameCube?
tweet75  +   1302d ago
please no more full priced last gen "HD" rereleases
Knushwood Butt  +   1301d ago
Not full priced in Japan.

Are they full price elsewhere?

Even so, if that western package with all 3 games is full price, I'd say it's a bargain. Peace Walker alone is an incredible game.
