They did. I was just running Killzone 3 this morning. It is ridiculous they would include that game. There is not a darker, grittier war game out there.

Brutal is the best way to describe the combat in Killzone 3 whether in SP or MP.

Every time I go more than a week without running that game and drop it in after gaming other titles I am stunned at the way it looks and how visceral the combat comes across. For me personally it is one of the most underrated games on any platform this generation.

Online Co-op is the only place they dropped the ball but that is far outweighed by an overwhelmingly jaw dropping SP and MP package.

@ Morganfell: I would say Killzone 2 is darker and grittier than Killzone 3. That is actually my major complaint with KZ3 is that they made it too light and pretty. It lost that ominous effect KZ2 had.

That being said, Killzone 3 has no business on this list. This whole article is just complete fail. They just grouped games of the same genre and said you shouldn't care because the other system (depending on which you have) has a game of the same genre yet missing the finer points of what the games bring that make them unique and not just the same game on a different system.

Look, it's clear that in the past, MSWorld (and Planet Xbox 360) in the past has catered to the N4G PS3 elitists by going out of it's way to downplay 360 games etc.

The flame titles and content gets them hits from this site.

One of these times they tried to pretend that Xbox 360 gamers were somehow upset after the VGAs because of the 'Last of Us' trailer. When it clearly was not the case.

I've been the one of the very few keeping it real by saying that 360 gamers don't care about PS3 exclusives and Vice Versa.

But, it backfired because of the flame title. Listing 5 games when I'm telling you it's ALLL games.

They are totally different. The only similarity is the moral choice system, and even then, it's almost superfluous. Fable's MC system really just affects the way you look and how people interact with you. It has no bearing on how you play the game or what you can unlock. With inFAMOUS, how you play affects everything from what powers you unlock to how NPCs treat you.

Some people need to check the facts before mouthing off making wide generalized assumptions. I think the biggest problem is that the kids get all upset because of a name of a publication which takes precedent over what is actually written. I agree fully with the opening paragraphs of this article, although not so much with the comparisons made.

Tell me about it, man. The thing that boggles the mind, more so than the author calling Uncharted/Gears similar and Fable/inFAMOUS similar is that there's actually still people defending the 360 as if it's the definitive platform for core gamers.

Antz, you know me better than anyone on here and when I met you, I was a giant 360 fanboy. Now, look, I'm on side Sony. As anyone with half a brain should be able to figure out, PS3 has more exclusive games (to be honest, these are the only reason I own the console since I have such a powerful rig) and games that nearly everybody feels are better.

I don't really think Alan Wake and Heavy Rain are similar. Heavy Rain was depressing but great at the same time. Alan Wake is a Horror themed game. But w\e .. if he sees similarities.

I think the comparison was more about both titles coming under the banner of 'Thriller', while offering rather unique gameplay experiences from each other.

The same holds true for the rest of the comparisons, the only one I don't agree with really is the Infamous / Fable comparsion, I'd be more inclined to pair off Infamous against Crackdown.

I don't know why everybody is comparing Uncharted with Gears. They are both third person shooters but that's where the similarities end. The settings and stories are totally different. They may be similar in what they mean for their respective console (best graphics, huge fanbase) but the games are still very different. And every gamer should play both.

Having both consoles is great and while I haven't been overly impressed with PS3 exclusives it is Uncharted that keeps me holding onto my PS3. I'm glad I did with naughty dog being one of the best developers around and sticking with the PS3 exclusively. Also there are some other games looming on the horizon that will keep me glued to my dual shock.

Now I originally got the 360 for Halo 3, but it has been the Gears franchise that I've played the most. Amazing games with an all around package, maybe not the best story telling, but a fun campaign.

The author is reaching. He is trying to make the point that gamers are missing out on PS3 exclusives by not having a PS3. He is flat out wrong, pure and simple.

His comparisons don't match up. Killzone/Resistance/Halo - all three are first-person shooters and that's where it stops. Halo has a 5 on 5 multiplayer. That's not even close the KZ and Resistance, which are closer to MW.

Halo/Forza - I will grant him this one.

Infamous/Fable - WTF, not remotely similar.
Gears/Uncharted - WTF, not remotely similar.
Alan Wake/Heavy Rain - WTF, not remotely similar.

In the particular case of Heavy Rain not only was the game great, the game was so unique that I can't recall anything else like it. It is literally like playing a mystery drama. Having gone over his list I ask....

What about Metal Gear Solid 4?
What about Valkyria Chronicles?
What about Bayonetta? (I consider it 360 exclusive)
What about God of War?

If you didn't play those games you missed out.

If you have just resolved to miss out on 360 exlusives or to miss out on PS3 exclusives, then that is your right. It is a big world; everyone is going to miss out on most of it. But don't get it twisted, YOU ARE MISSING OUT. For the most part, the best gaming is on the exclusive titles. If you skip them you are diminishing your gaming experience.

For example, if you thought, "I can play Dante's Inferno so I'm not missing out on GOW4" then you are lying to yourself.

Personally, I spend to much money on games to deliberately miss out on a big chunk of the best games. Therefore I buy/have both consoles.

I guess I'll go fire up a 128 vs. 128 multi-player on one of the multi-platform games. You mean that is only on MAG.

There are some very good multi-plat franchises, Assassins Creed, Elder Scrolls, Battlefield. So I'm not talking in absolutes. But I will say it again, for the most part the best gaming is on the exclusive games. Even on the 360, which doesn't have enough exclusives, it still holds true in my opinion.

Judging by the way you commented in this thread, are a 360 defender. I don't know how much money you spend on gaming in a year. But if you buy 8 to 10 games a year like me, you should get a PS3 simply to give yourself all the options. Eight to Ten games is $500 to $600, that is too much money to have spent on games last year and not even have the option to buy Uncharted 3 or to not be able to buy Gear 3 even if I wanted to.

I don't need to play Heavy Rain anymore, once you beat it once it's done, what else is there to do? I would really love to play MAG if it didn't involve a long ass wait for a Domination game unless you play at a specific time. Funny thing was I didn't really care that it had 256 players it was the teamwork I found awesome about that game. If you look at the way the maps in the game are designed they never allow a huge battle with all 128 on each side to take part. MAG is 4 64 player battles happening at the same time. Also, we had 128+ player mods for Starsiege: Tribes and Tribes 2.

I simply do not agree that Killzone 3 was better then Battlefield 3 this year because it was exclusive. Hell, SOCOM 4 and Killzone 3 weren't awful shooters this year but they sure as hell were not far above average.

I also buy on average more then 10 games a year, but hey...you know me.

Xbox gamers SHOULD appreciate/respect what those PS3 exclusives have achieved in visuals/physics/etc.. because PS3 exclusives have brought us more to Next-Gen level than anything I've played on 360... and Im a multiconsole owner!

These articles proves that the game media is becoming bland. I own both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, and the comparising between Fable and Infamous is just lame.

Problem is games on PS3 can only be played on the PS3. Games on the Xbox 360 are already released on the PC at some point. Now with Windows 8 coming out allowing Xbox 360 discs to be read through your PC, there's really no reason to own one.

Plus with a PC online is free. with mods! If your not to fond of the keyboard and mice setup, then buy a controller for PC.

Or there would be just different flavors of troll bait articles. Like system X from 5 years ago was so much more original and exciting than the current one or the pc has more mature players, etc. The sky is the limit here.

- Killzone 2,3 is one of the best FPS this Gen, and how can you compare it to halo (or Cod) it nothing like any FPS this gen, its alot darker and grittier than any FPS out there

- how can you compare Uncharted to gears of war when its clearly obvious that uncharted has a million times better story

Another cheap hits piece from that site?! I don't know what's worse. Them, or N4G for continuously supporting their cr@p by linking to it and stickying it. Then people lose bubbles. Ironic, that N4G perpetuates this roadmap to cr@p by supporting the very antagonists that get people trolling in the first place. You reap what you sow. Why would anyone willingly link themselves to sites/blogs like these?
