Announced at E3 2011, Halo 4 is going to kick off a brand new trilogy of Halo games and will be the first full-fledged game in the Halo franchise created by developer 343 Industries.
God halo is not as great as it used to be just stop it all ready. There is a reason bungie gave up on it u no... Bring halo 2 hd.and I will be happy
Don't ever let me catch you posting a positive comment about Killzone, then.
Isn't there a PS Vita doom article you should rallying your SDF troops in? Lol tired of crying over Vita's failure and now wanna start a Halo War(s)? Hehehehe
Same for uncharted. Oh god of war. How about gears? METAL GEAR!! Oh god we could go for hours here :)
Don't listen to this child lol. Halo not as great as it used to be? So butt-hurt its ridiculous.
That's the way you do it
Hey cell looks like your buddys arent here to back up that comment. Say what you want about the 360, there ARE halo fans.
THC CELL, HALO has done nothing but progress. For me HALO Reach is one of the best of the series. It brought us the SPARTANS of novels. Determined, skilled, daring, but still very human. "Well that was Bungie." Yes and that was 343. Many Bungie employees opted to stay with 343 and 343 has a very close relationship with Bungie. As for the franchise itself there are light years of travel left in the storyline. Anyone that has read Karen Traviss' book Glasslands knows this. With Ghost of Onyx we know there is an entire other world where the story of the Forerunners could unfold. Speaking of gameplay it continues to be polished by one of the best balancing/testing methodologies around. You are wrong, quite wrong about HALO and there are a legion of fans in this world that are evidence of this fact.
OH I CANT F***ING WAIT FOR HALO 4!!
For some reason, I've never really liked Halo all that much due to the bullet sponge mechanics. But I recently bought Halo Anniversary and started to get into it, so I re-bought Halo Reach and have been having quite a bit of fun with it. At times though it can still be a bit frustrating on certain maps where players just appear out of nowhere and either execute you without warning or get the drop on you with 3 of his team mates that just come out of nowhere. That tends to only happen on a map or two, so I can look past that. I'm excited for Halo 4.
When you say bullet sponge, you're referring to the fact that it can take a lot of ammo to kill an enemy right? I prefer that over the quick kill of CoD games. In Halo, an enemy can make mistakes even when he has the upper hand (such as when he starts shooting you before you start shooting him). In CoD games, it's a lot like duck hunt. You point, shoot, and win. I prefer having the opportunity to fight back and injure the enemy before I die. Thus, getting kill streaks in Halo games is much harder than getting them in CoD games.
"When you say bullet sponge, you're referring to the fact that it can take a lot of ammo to kill an enemy right?" Yeah. "I prefer that over the quick kill of CoD games." I personally prefer a balance between the two. Something like Resistance 1 where it's not too much, but not too little. But I've learned that in Halo, pulling off headshots is absolutely crucial to success. If you're going for body shots, you're just going to get killed. I didn't know that when I first got Halo Reach, though now that I do and now that I've gotten better at it, I'm enjoying the game a lot more. "I prefer having the opportunity to fight back and injure the enemy before I die." Yeah, my taste in FPS is slowly evolving towards being accurate and skillful, even if it is a bit slow. I used to prefer the fast paced reaction based shooters, but not so much anymore. Halo seems to be very accuracy heavy, and reaction time isn't anywhere near as important. I bought Modern Warfare 3 about 2 weeks after it came out for 30 bucks, and it is the first Call of Duty where I never fully leveled up in the multiplayer (I've been playing cod multiplayer since call of duty 2). I only got to level 30 before I decided to sell it. It was the worst call of duty I had ever played and what once was a very fun and addictive game, just seemed overly repetitive and stupid, like the game was treating me as if I were a child with ADD. I still think Halo overdoes it a bit in terms of the bullet sponge mechanics, but it's becoming less and less of a problem each time I play.
"But I've learned that in Halo, pulling off headshots is absolutely crucial to success. If you're going for body shots, you're just going to get killed." My experience has been different in that regard. The strategy I've been told to follow by my more skilled friends is to shoot twice in the chest and then once in the head. Attempting only headshots is only a good idea in certain matches where the only way to get a kill is to get a headshot. I'm not a fan of Halo Reach, but I stopped playing it several months ago and since then there have probably been many patches that have drastically changed the MP gameplay. Plus, the maps suck compared to Halo 3, imo.
The King has returned!!!
Ergg, I need new Halo 4 news. Screens, juicy details, a vidoc, a trailer, ANYTHING. 343i, Y U TEASE US SO?!?! BS Angel, the Halo Waypoint Community Manager, must be a real sultry vixen in real life, because she KNOWS that we're all just reading the Weekly Bulletin for Halo 4, and she keeps dropping these tiny hints about incoming hints hinting at rumors of new announcements announcing announcements of Halo 4 TIDBITS.
I'd rather they keep the campaign a little secretive more so than Halo 3's. I've been reading Cryptum, Glasslands and now Primordium, and if those are anything to go by, Halo 4 will be epic. I wouldn't mind some info and videos on multiplayer and stuff.
They should get rid of load outs as well and just stick to the classic weapon pick up.
Oh man, I can't wait to play this game. I think they should just get rid of armor abilities altogether, and just increase the running speed in multiplayer so there is no need for sprint. Armor lock is one of the worst things in Reach, they should aim for similarities with Halo 3 which had amazing multiplayer. As for campaign, they should also follow Halo 3 rather than Reach. Halo 3 was much more epic and for some reason, I loved it so much more.
Yeah, i think they should get rid of the armor abilities too. I want it to go back to how Halo:CE, was. The campaign will be taking after Halo 3. Reach was before the first halo, so they'll definitely be going off from the Halo 3 campaign! :) But right now, I'm more interested in a new Xbox release, so these exclusives can be so much better. I don't know if we will be seeing that soon, but i sure damn hope so!
I can take/leave reticule bloom, but Id be somewhat bummed if Armor Abilities didn't return in some sort of form in the next game. Equipment in Halo 3 was garbage, and AAs were what they should have been. Im all down for change in the series though. I don't want Halo 4 to play exactly like all of the past games. I want new features and gameplay changes, not a retread of the past trilogy just to satisfy the nostalgia of a bunch of bitchy kids on the internet who are against change.
