Square Enix updates: Jump Festa '08 Open & Closed theater lists

Square Enix have updated their Jump Festa 2008 mini-site and added two pages. The first is the Theater page which pretty much confirms all the rumors and information about Final Fantasy XIII's trailers. Here's the list as written on the website:

Open mega theater:
· Star Ocean: First Departure
· Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Country of Promise

Closed mega theater:
· Fabula Nova Crystallis (New trailers)
· Dissidia: Final Fantasy (New trailer)
· Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (New trailer)
· Kingdom Hearts: Coded (New trailer)
· Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (New trailer)

The second page is photos, which has information on a new 'reward system': Anyone that leaves a theater will receive a random photo (can be viewed on the page). He can then exchange it for something, and the rarer the card the better. Good luck!

*sigh* more of this behind curtain crap. Why do developers even bother? Just show it to the media who just turn around and pull a 1up on your product and start trying to go big dog on campus declaring FFVII to be a mess and KH2 to not be worth playing! What's the point?

Maybe you should be showing it to the PAYING CUSTOMER!??! Honestly, who pays the bills for you guys? It just frustrates me to always be left in the dark as the consumer. The game industry in general is so media friendly (though constantly ripped by the media) and so customer ignorant.

Honestly, how long will it take till some site who sees the behind curtain trailer comes out and says it's crap for more site hits? A day or two...maybe? Yet if we consumers saw it, we'd actually know what it is for ourselves rather than having to go through months and months of unreliable, integrity-lacking media chest-pounding. Hurray!...>:|

Your comment says it all really. What is the point in devs just showing things to the media? Do they really think the media will tell everyone accurately what they saw? Not likely. So then, like you said, what is really the point? I can't think of a single good reason.

They should give their bill payers some more lovin'!!

Good comment, bubble for you!!

and when the final product comes out.

It'll be nothing but internet bash war because SE couldn't live up to the trailer or you know. "The system can't handle it" ;o
