The Case of Senran Kagura - How Firm Size Can Affect Sales Expectations and Localization

According to various reports, Senran Kagura sold 52,000 units in its initial release. Sometime earlier, producer Kenichiko Takaki told the entire web that the side-scroller game featuring girls with big breasts is expected to move 80,000 units in sales.

And the game according to developer Marvelous sold well. What? 52,000 copies of a game necessarily means a game that sold well while Mario Kart 7 has already reached the 1 million mark?

Take a look at how big or small a firm is can affect a video game company' decision in terms of forecasted sales and localization (3DS, Industry, industry, Marvelous, Senran Kagura)

Honestlly i don't get the appeal of this game fan service is ok but i personally just won't bother with fanservice type games because they don't show anything would it be so much to ask for a game with at least queen's blade(the anime) level of fanservice and not something that i can see on tv in a pg rated tv show?(what i want here is nudity normal games don't need this but if it's blatent fanservice why not?)
