It’s been revealed that a special version of Aragaki Yui’s CM for DeNA’s gaming portal, ‘Mobage‘, will air for one-time only.
Sony Corp now directly owns 11.75% of DeNA stock, making them the second biggest shareholder (after DeNA founder Tomoko Namba with 13.09%) of the company that runs Japanese mobile social network Mobage, according to a financial report submitted to the Kanto financial affairs bureau on January 11, the Nihon Keizai Shinbun reports.
Titles on Mobage’s mobile social gaming service in Japan include Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade, CardCaptor Sakura, Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls and, er, Super Bride Wars.
Outside of Japan, DeNA also has subsidiaries in the US and China that administer the Mobage service in those territories.
If Sony manages to acquire Mobage, they could fold those developers, technology, and user base into their Playstation Mobile strategy. Than, people can get old and new Mobage game content straight to PSM.
There are a few Mobage games on the iOS app store already (search for mobage and you should see a few).
I hope Sony is smart and acquires Mobage as social and mobile will def keep on booming in Japan and elsewhere.
Sony will acquire this company because it'll help a lot when then release the second Vita. (a.k.a. Xperia Play 2)
@GreenRanger_
Finally someone with sense!!!
Sony didn't have to make their own portable with Vita...and Sony shouldn't make anymore handhelds either...Sony should make their back catalogue available on tablets, smart phones...and yes dare I say it....competing handhelds!
Its a total waste of resources for Sony to produce their own handhelds in todays market!!
...But people rarely agree with me on that...but most of these people have zero business acumen, so no real surprise.
Vita successor is a non starter...Gaikai is Sony's trump card!

Slightly of topic...
As for Xbox branding in Japan > MS needs to license Nextbox to other well respected manufacturers for Japanese market eg. Samsung, Panasonic etc so that it carries both names...that's the only way Japan will embrace a MS console.
The mobile phone industry is where Sony can really start to rebuild the company's fortunes and reputation.
The new xperia z looks to be a great start against samsung and Apple.
Marvel has been a pretty hot property for a while now, and that popularity has only increased since the successful Avengers movie released over the summer. One such title that just released recently was Marvel: War of Heroes for mobile devices.
It never fails. A fun RPG is created and within two weeks, the game universe is filled with farm accounts, bots, cheat macros, and hacks.
The latest example of cheater blight is in the still-popular Rage of Bahamut by Mobage.
For a single-player game, who cares? it's their loss for not playing a game the correct way. For multi-player, some people will do anything to be at the top, for personal gain, have an advantage, exploit or ruin other peoples' good time and more.
Overall, there are people who will do anything to get ahead of not having to actually put the time in to do many things in a game.
I hate people who cheat in a competitive atmosphere.
This game is all about spending tons of cash only way to win is spend a lot!!! Cheaters definitely created higher inflation but really unless you are willing to spend 3 bucks per random card there's no point in playing this.
