Apple + Sega = Applecast
The name Applecast isn't that bad...not bad at all...it's a better name than the Pippin...for those who don't know, the Pippin was the name of Apple's multimedia platform back in the mid 90's..according to Wikipedia, the goal was to create an inexpensive computer aimed mostly at playing CD-based multimedia titles, especially games, but also functioning as a network computer. Costing $599 at launch, and touted as a cheap computer, in reality, it was mostly identified as a video game console. As such, the price was considered too expensive compared to the N64 and Sony PlayStation, which dominated the competition...Apple and Sega could work together to create something special...bubbles up for mentioning it DuB...
apple should buy cisco(the router-network communications equipment company)..........if those 2 would merge, holy sh1t.
it would be like skynet from t2.
sony+samsung merger would be amazing too.
Didn't they buy parts of sega?
Why not buy up some music catalogs. Then they could have them on iTunes exclusivly....
Slow news day?
sorry for the inconvenience...
EDIT: It's baaaack...lol...everything working fine now...
They should just make their own console. I bet it would be pretty sweet. Much better than that garbage MS has come up with.
Apple... doesn't really do games. I mean, you have noticed, have you? Windows does. Windows has for a while. I tend to doubt Apple could come up with anything comparable with current consoles NEXT generation. Games would be sparse too. All in all, it would probably start with an 'i' and be a total failure.
Remember Apple changed their name two years ago. Apple Computer, Inc. is now Apple, Inc. That's open them to anything. Like celphone, mp3 player...:)
But I hope they don't make touchscreen coffee table... that is useless...:)
15 billion WoW. I personally think apple PCs are a linux based overpriced PCs. But their existence is good for the industry in general because it creates competition and drives more innovations. I used apple linux OS and I thought it wasn't for me. I thought it wasn't as convenient as a Microsoft Windows operating system (which I prefer).
I think they should give some of that money back to shareholders as dividends like Microsoft did. I don't think apple will buy any company because they rely heavily on internal growth just like MS and Sony. But if they were to buy a company I believe they'll expand into the multimedia business by buying a movie studio..
Jobs is smart enough to see difficult financial times ahead, global recession is around the corner so sales will be down, save the $15b to keep yourself in the black over the next 5 years.
youre right, usa is actually uberfucced for about 4-6 years.
As bush finally gets out of office, the next prez will have to clean up the mess he made..........so either poor people are gonna suffer or rich people are gonna pay a sh1tload of taxes
They are so cheap they brake almost as easily as wiis and xbug 360s.
really? i thought the hardware is well made.....i have like 2 ipods but i hardly use them.
the ipod touch does look pretty cool though..........then again so does a psp.
