GameSpot's Best of 2007 Preliminaries

The year 2007 is drawing to a close, and it's clear that this has been one of the best years in history for great video games on all platforms. Earlier this year, GameSpot released Game Watch '07 to help you keep track of all the highly anticipated game releases on the horizon. But now that the year is coming to an end, which of those games was really worth the wait? Cast your vote in the poll below for the Game Watch '07 game you think lived up to the hype - and which of them you think will have the strongest showing in our upcoming full awards.

(Please note that this voting process is not GameSpot's full Readers' Choice voting, which will be made available with the full awards in the coming weeks.)

You can only vote once. Make it count!

lol, that definitly has to be GameSpot's choice for GOTY.

I would of said Ratchet and Clank but yours would be far more entertaining

They have to apologize somehow.

What horrible hype.

the best games of 2007 got pushed back GTA4 and MGS4.

year was pretty hot as usuall, i go with Uncharted on Ratchet & Clank Future for gooty of 07.

but in 2008

GTA4 best on PS3
Killzone 2
GT5
FFXIII

that will be a better year then 2007 just see.

gamespots is anti-Sony so they will most likely put pverated trash like milkio galaxy or halo 2.1 for best game of 2007.

It's not hard to guess which side you lean toward, and that's too bad, because you're missing out on a lot of other GOTY candidates that would come from having a more balanced mindset. But oh well, let fanboys be fanboys I guess.

Rock Band or CoD4

If the winner is decided by users theres no way Rock Band will win, but it's got some of the best reviews ever, by everyone. it didnt get below 9 from anyone as far as i know and it score a bunch of 100%'s.

tuff call.

To be honest, i think this year was the biggest let downs in gaming.

It was the year all the big devs that had been talking of revolution, proved it was nothing more then graphical upgrade.

don't get me wrong, there were a lot of great games out, but looking at the big games and what the devs had promised with them, none of them really held true.. this goes for games on both platforms.

my expectations of what to expect from next gen gaming as really been lowered now. expect good games, but not life changing games.
