There was one situation that never gets out of my head.

We where playing Counter Strike 20 people lan for like 3 days straight and a buddy fell asleep on his keyboard after like 35 hours straight gaming, suddenly someone yelled

"COVER THE TOWER"

He flipped up screamed, jumped at his monitor to burry it under him and and hekticly looked around to seek for the attacker, after 10 seconds he got sane again and couldn't remember anything that happend. we forced him to crouch in his sleeping sack

I think that the argument of gaming creating isolated lifestyles and loneliness is only half the picture. Usually, it's people that are lonely to begin with that have obsessive gaming-habits.

Again, as I said, it's half the picture. As of right now, I don't get out much since I'm at 1st semester at the university and it's cold outside. But a lot of people are well within their 30's and can't find anything better to do than game all day; and gaming obsessively may be a good way to make friends at N4G, but in real-life it's a good way of losing them.
