GR: We forgive you. 2011 was a stupidly crazy busy year for videogames, and unless you neglected sleeping, eating and breathing, there was literally no way you could play every great release.
Thanks for making us aware of "El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron," it looks amazing! I didn't care for the demo of "Yakuza 4," and "Ace Combat: Assault Horizon" was HORRIBLE since they ruined dogfighting with the DFM (Dog Fighting Mode) - AC deserves to fail for that. Outland demo is pretty good, might get it someday. We *LOVED* "Rayman Origins" and ordered it for Christmas. Rayman Origins is definitely the sleeper hit of the year.
For me it was Driver San Francisco. It got a terrible demo which reflected badly on the full game which cost it. I'd put it in my top ten games for the year.
Interesting. I seen it for cheap. I might give it a whirl. I'm a big racer guy.
It's worth it. The story is insane but the driving is fun and shifting is a truly innovative mechanic. You can be driving along in a Challenger, see a MP-4 going the other way and be driving it in seconds.
Nice article guys! :)
Splatterhouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm old school. ;)
Still wondering where the hell Catherine is.. I have yet to see it on any list and it's my GOTY pick..
Outland is awesome and offered for a mere 5$ this weej on both XBLA and PSN. I also tried the demos for some of the other games in this list but wasn't overly impressed with them.
Actually good list, but Child of Eden is missing too.. I love that game
El Shaddai was bad. Some pretty visuals, but... I just didnt get the story. I mean what on earth was going on? Something about God? :S
Watch Ancient Aliens ;)
Ghost trick should be number 1(if this is ranked). I don't really see rayman as being overlooked, as no one seems to be able to stop talking about it.
