Not to piss on your parade or anything but that game looked uh...kind of lame.

Kran4518d ago

I see PC in your name. Now if Alan Wake had come to the PC too, I bet you wouldnt say that

Gam3rSinceBiRTH4518d ago

It's all good. You ain't raining on my parade. I'm used to all the weirdo's on here with negative attitudes. My "awesome" was more about them really working on this franchise. Alan Wake + DLC was an amazing experience. Can't wait for future installments. :)

pc_masterrace4518d ago

@Kran

Oh but it is and my opinion still hasn't changed.

Kran4518d ago (Edited 4518d ago )

Ohhhh but you'll still play it when it comes to PC.

Know why?

Because you just took the liberty to find that article, meaning there is a part of you that wants to play it.

pc_masterrace4518d ago (Edited 4518d ago )

@Kran

I actually lol. It was on the front page and all I did was copy and paste.

And to answer your question... not even if AW was free.

Hell yes friend. Alan Wake's by far my favourite XBox franchise after just one entry.
So happy they get to continue it despite the lower than deserved sales.

Noticeably_FAT4518d ago

"This game is being developed as an independent entry that anyone can jump into and understand. It expands and broadens the world of Alan Wake, and contains much more information about the happenings after the first Alan Wake."

This pretty much confirms that this is more a "Case Zero" type of release then a full on game release.

-"Remedy confirms this will not be the last Alan Wake game, and that the sequel is definitely coming, but no details or specific release schedules."

This is obviously a go between story to tie up some things between the first Alan Wake and the complete retail sequel.

Bank on it.

SockeyBoy4518d ago

There have been numerous magazines that have stated MS/Remedy are holding off Alan Wake 2 till the next xbox, smart move i think :)

OT. The trailer looks insane for AN, the enemy look more demonic.

Noticeably_FAT4518d ago

Ya I have seen those reports. I think this is just to tide people over, I mean we also heard Ryse is being held off for the next Xbox.

I love Alan Wake, so anything will do.

anonymous923484518d ago

As long as they fix the horrible lip syncing I'm sold on it.

Sort of like the fact that while Alan Wake didn't sell that well Microsoft hasn't given up on it.

rob60214518d ago

The problem is the game has no video, they're using all game assets to do the cinemas in this game to fit it in 2GB. In general lip syncing is much harder to do with an in-game environment that's not prescripted. Hopefully they can fix the lip syncing, but I wouldn't count on it - especially if the Q1 2012 release date is right.

lolz had no idea a new alan wake was coming, The Last Of Us completely took the spotlight.

Man. You PS3 fanboys really just let the hype train fall in your lap don't you? I'm very interested in the The Last of Us, but honestly the trailer was rather dull. I'm really looking forward to seeing more about it, but it didn't steal the "spotlight".

Hell, the other day people were jizzing their pants over a newpaper and broken glass in a screenshot. Like come on.

Muitnorts4518d ago

I didn't care much about the pre reveal screens and stuff. But must say I was sold the minute I saw the Naughty Dog logo.
More importantly, however, Alan Wake looks great too! Christ people just enjoy both.

Gam3rSinceBiRTH4518d ago

LMAO! I am interested in the game but it was pretty hilarious how many "OMG" comments on just that newspaper screenshot. I own both consoles and I can easily say the sony fanboys are the worst on this site.

Blackdeath_6634517d ago

well in all honesty i did expect this response as i am posting a comment as such in an xbox exclusive reveal. i was only giving my honest view on wich game has generated more hype. you seem to agree that TLOU generated more hype cus you Wrote " the other day people were jizzing their pants over a newpaper and broken glass in a screenshot. Like come on." also im basing my opinion on the fact that there have been by far way more articles on TLOU and just this one article on alan wake. i dont hate...i have no reason to.

anonymous923484518d ago (Edited 4518d ago )

@GribbleGrunger

Cause he can't live with the fact that people actually enjoy playing on a console not called Playstation.

Mass effect 3 and Alan Wake both arriving Q1 2012. That's great news.

Alan Wake 2 is Where the Franchise Needs to go

Welcome back Link Cable Gaming fans, by far one of my favourite surprises of the Game Awards was the surprise announcement of Alan Wake 2. Alan Wake developed by Remedy Entertainment, and released in May 2010 on the Xbox 360, Alan Wake 2 will finally be brought back. While we were treated just this year to the surprise Alan Wake Remastered earlier in October 2021, or Alan Wake’s American Nightmare in February 2012, fans never got a true sequel. What will the future of the Alan Wake franchise look like?

Perfect! a sequel that will remind me of the smell of mildew and damp coffee grounds with a side of deadly premonition.

NecrumOddBoy845d ago

Where else would the franchise go? Seems like a sure thing. American Nightmare should be in the remake though.

Zahiar845d ago

You know I was thinking alternatives right?
For all it could have been, you know how the sequel market is sometimes, weird spin - offs, spiritual successors, reimagining, a VR walking simulator (bleh) and all that.
I like the idea of an evolved sequel way more

Zahiar845d ago

I guess Alan Wake got a redesign lol.
Because I thought it was Jared Leto lol

pietro1212845d ago

It’s the same actor from the first game

pietro1212845d ago

My most hyped project of this gen.
