If you are looking for THE best quality for the money right now the 8800GT will offer that BUT later this month the new 8800GTS that rivals the 8800GTX and Ultra is gonna be released that is possibly gonna be THE best performance vs money ever available

and remember you can always get the improved version of each card for a few extra bucks, which is usually a factory OC version of the card with the advantage of having warranty

(yes >think< i know) that eVGA allow you to OC their cards within a certain limit without voiding warrenty, they also offer a "step-up" program, allowing to trade your card back in for a newer model. so you could buy the GT now, then if the GTS is released soon and after, and worth that extra £50 you can just swap it for that little extra cash. only lasts for 3 months though.
