NO MORE Animus....I have had enough...When is Desmond going to be the Main Character

DeeZee2175d ago (Edited 2175d ago )

I think the only problem with that is, how would they make that work? It just doesn't make sense in a modern era. Assassin's use guns in 2012, and police won't take turns sword fighting you--they'd just shoot at you.

They said it would take place in Boston around the Time of the Boston Tea Party, just before the American Revolution. That would be the 1770's, not 2012.

DeeZee2175d ago

@funk I wasn't talking about this article, I was answering the person above me. If Desmond is the main hero it would be in modern times.

I really don't mind the Animus and going back in time. That is what is fun about the game. But 18th century Boston.....they couldn't have picked a worst, more borring location and time period.

The highes building probably will be something that is like 3 stories and even that is made out of wood like every building back than in the USA so let's hope it won't collapse as you try to climb onto it.

I hope that this is a false rumor.

Actually Boston is made up of brownstone buildings averaging 6 stories go to the outskirts and it's made up of wood 2,3,and 4 stories.

what??? in 18th Century in USA!!!!! what are we gonna climb a building with one floor?

MilkEmHard2175d ago

This game is ending up like call of duty. Trying to milk it.

Baka-akaB2175d ago (Edited 2175d ago )

at least it's still great , and actually get better each games .

Milking is only a prob when the game is trash or bringing nothing interesting

m2stech2175d ago

I'm pretty sure we'll play as Darim in Egypt, well at least partly!

Tonester9252175d ago

I would rather them restart the franchise with Ninjas. There has been a lack of ninja games now that I think about it.

I wish for a new Tenchu game every day!!!

I Hope this Rumor is true. Boston is my native city. I've lived here for 31 years and am very much into the rich history that Boston has to offer.. If it wasn't for the early Bostonians like Paul Revere and Samuel Adams, the first true American patriots, This country might have gone on under British occupation for much longer than it did. To the person that thought this would be a boring setting and time period, you should do your history research. There was a lot going on at that time, and there have been well documented instances of British, American, and Native American spies and conspiracies of murder of British officials and sabotage of British boats and military equipment, allegedly carried out secretly by Agents of the American revolution. I can see where the role of a professional assasin would come into play in a very exiting way in this time period and setting.

To be honest, I'm also really happy they didn't pick the usual videogame settings: New York City, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Las Vegas... Too many games that take place in those places, imo.
