An Open Letter to Nintendo | ShogunGamer.com

Jen Alaggia writes: Dear Nintendo,

It's no small secret that I love you. I have your Starman tattooed on my shoulder. I have one of every system you have ever produced, and yours are the games I remember the most fondly from my childhood.

"My childhood is over now, and I have grown less than enthused with you recently."

And that happens to all of us. Also happens that we forget that there are a generation that's living their childhood now. But I'll just assume all of you want to give COD and Heavy Rain to them.

I agree with almost all of what the writer had to say, pretty much spot on. This is from a fan too, who actually notices their shortcomings.

this gen nintendo didn't do anything for me,bought new hd tv but guess what wii couldn't take advantage of that, zelda didn't do anything new at least mario did. internet offering sub par imo the best platform this gen was pc cause of all the great digital sales and indie titles.

Even though I had grown up and moved on from all the mario games I would of hoped nintendo would have done the same. They have essentially stayed the same in terms of there target audience (young kids). We may not like it but we must accept it. At my age I don't expect anything from nintendo that I'm use to playing on PC,PS3 and X360. There for the kids. I'm ok with that.
