Cannot wait. AW 1 is one of my favorite new IPs this gen

Abash2360d ago

Id be more excited if it werent just an XBLA game, Alan Wake deserved a full fledged sequel.

probably a on demand game! which is why word is its like aw2 instead of a spin off.

seems someone following me got 2 random disagrees

IronFistChinMi2360d ago

The fully fledged sequel is heavily rumoured to be on the successor to the 360, this title is to keep the universe going until then.

"The fact that it was downloadable didn't make it any less of a game. "

No but it's not fair on those who don't have the space to spare or have slow interent connections to download them.....hell theres people that like a physical copy of the game in their hands.

I mean who does a spin off after only one game....yet they scrapped all those DLC plans for just dosen't make sense.

Oh look at that three disagrees....come on then tell me what game got a digital spin off after only one game. Really curious to hear some answers, oh wait I forgot this is N4G where people like to press the disagree button without even thinking.

jetlian2359d ago (Edited 2359d ago )

all these dlc's they scraped masked! l'm sure theres plenty that didnt go straight to number two. crysis warhead is one

The real question is how many other new ips are given a second chance after less than expected sales? folklore? haze, heavenly sword, lost odys, blue dragon etc.

Yeah I just hope this time around it's not 90% forest. AW was good but so much potential was left from other areas in the map.

coolbeans2360d ago (Edited 2360d ago )

That seems to be one of the main complaints, but one I don't follow. Like I've found in other games with the setting feeling redundant: If that area evokes the best sense of atmosphere, why not keep to that-if only to meander off course sometimes?

Edit: But...that's just personal preference, I suppose.

TheBlackMask2360d ago

Look at that you state a flaw in AW and you get disagreed to death. Is like every 360 fanboy on this comment section

Yeah there was too much forest areas and areas often felt the same. How can you disagree with that

coolbeans2359d ago (Edited 2359d ago )

From fluffydecisions' post: "AW was good but so much potential was left from other areas in the map."

Since this sentence is subjective, it leaves another poster to [respectfully] disagree with said person who made the initial response. That doesn't mean either side is inherently wrong, it just shows there's two sides of the coin.

Edit: Who knows maybe all 8 of the 360 fanboys are just disagree trolls. /s (as if it couldn't be more obvious)

YoungMoney2360d ago

OMG OMG OMG...!!! Alan Wake best game ever!

Convas2360d ago

Wewt Wewt! Can't wait to see what it's all about. Just a few more days now!

AmaZinG2360d ago

Or even more... so i dont know why people are all over this being a XBLA Game...

Most of Xbox Retail Games are on Demand anyway...

Alan Wake is on Demand.

Really makes me wonder if they held this announcement off to match Sony's TheLastofUs announcement. It could be the other way around too, but It does seem strange two each console getting a survival horror announcement at the same time.

Hatiko2360d ago

Alan Wake is not survival horror. It is a Psychological Action Thriller. Do people not read the box? jkjk

MrManchild2360d ago

Nights Springs was announced before The last of us. It's just a coincidence.
