Gerstmann-gate: Sunday morning update

Developments have slowed down a little bit over the weekend, but there is still plenty of chatter around the web about Gamespot's controversial firing of Jeff Gerstmann. Among the juicier bits from around the intertubes:

* In response to a Gamespot forum thread, the new Gamespot Manager of Community Development said he is "eagerly anticipating the official word to be released on Tuesday."
* Gamespot freelancer Frank Provo: "Personally, my respect for CNet is shot, and writing for GameSpot is going to feel like a chore for quite some time going forward."

FOR THEM TO REVIEW UNREAL TOURNAMENT 3 ON THE PS3,SINCE THEIR REVIEW WILL STILL BE BIASED,THEY'LL LOSE THE FEW REMAINING SUPPORTERS THEY HAVE

EDIT: MR_ARABIC I AGREE WITH YOU,GAMESPOT IS COMPLETE BS RIGHT NOW AND THE WAY THINGS ARE LOOKING,IT WILL NEVER RECLAIM THE RESPECT THAT IT'S LOST FROM GAMERS

No one gives a crap.

Fat, ugly, and talentless punk runs his dumbass mouth off thinking he is some badass with a public forum to promote himself.

Fat, ugly, and talentless punk gets his ass fired for being a juvenile clown by management.

End of story.
