Allen Park recounts how a lack of time for video games has only fueled the passion for his hobby.
Great article. Well written. I really wish people would chill out instead of calling someone who plays CoD a retard or saying their computer rig is better than yours. Just play the damn games you like. It's not a contest. If its fun for you, that's all that matters.
Yea I remember when I was a casual gamer. I would sit and play through the same game 9 times before I even considered getting a new one. The Jak series... Kingdom hearts... Tony Hawk's (when it was good)... Syphon Filter. Between my ps1 and ps2 I had maybe 30 games. Now I'm a core gamer =(. I have 50 games on my ps3 alone. Some of which I haven't beaten. Some of which I spent 60 bucks on and didn't like. I still haven't even touched Crysis 2's multiplayer and I have a voucher for double xp. I think I appreciated games more back then. Now when I beat one (or just stop caring about the campaign) I move on to the next one. There are few games that I played multiple times this gen or actually invested in the mp. I miss those days.
