The first line of the reviw says it has flaws, but it still gets a 10/10? Doesn't 10/10 basically mean flawless?

I have mass effect (check my gamertag) and I'm enjoying it so far, but these reviews are getting out of hand. I can honestly say its one of the most overrated games ever. Its a 9.0 game in my book. Very good, but far from perfect.

ok I love Mass Effect
its one of the best RPG's or ARPG's ive played in a while. but on the same note, its not a 10. with the flaws that are there, its definatly not a 10. A high 8 or a low 9 more like it. but put those flaws aside and its the best damn game ive played in a long time.

This is going to make me sound like a sony fanboy, even though I'm really not, but honestly I thought ME was really frustrating, akward and pretty boring. I know whether or not you like a game is subjective, but jeez that game pissed me off. And why is there a black circle around the edge of the screen all the time? Is that just my game or my TV? What is the deal with that black circle? Drove me nuts.

I'm not really sure what you mean by the black circle. I haven't noticed one, but maybe it has something to do with the grain filter (or whatever it's called). I turned it off so that might be why.

Way too many flaws to consider this a 10 of 10. 9 maybe (I refuse to acknowledge .5 scores or anything other than a whole number) DEFINATELY.

The item management was abysmal. 150 items max? And it was a huge pain trying to make sure everyone had the proper items, etc before you sold them, et. Not to mention the dozens of times I've had to reload an older save game because of some stupid bug that caused my character to get stuck in a wall or on a mountain side etc.
