No online multiplayer or cross-play for MotorStorm RC
Evolution Studios has told GamerZines that upcoming Vita/PSN racer MotorStorm RC will not feature online multiplayer or support for cross-play.

That is such a stupid move. Come on... good opportunity here. Kind of makes the PSV so pointless (granted you get the PS3 free).
Cross play and online (both are pretty much inexclusive of one another) would be a great move... especially when it seems like the game supports more then 4 racers.
It really is. I mean the vita is supposed to be a social device what with apps like Near and stuff. Online multiplayer is one of the most basic of social features.
woahh massive let down this game has dropped from a day 1 buy too a possible never purchased game.. why the sudden change i dunno, but this is quite dis heartning
so all of the stuff that made this game sound so cool in the trailer is now gone, I probably wont buy this now.. whats the point if you cant go online on the vita version.. have sony done some last minute downgrades too vita?
Well speaking for myself, this game went from a must buy to a not at all. Get with the times! Im not buying a vita to have an offline psp experience ... this was originally named NGP (Next Generation Portable) for a reason and there's nothing next gen about that. No Online = No Purchase for me.
Who makes a racing game and doesn't include online? What a dumb decision.
the website article kind of makes it sound alot worse than it is, just looked into it.. the game does include online leader boards and tasks & includes transfering your game save between ps3 & vita .. just not online multiplayer yet & cross play
That's cool n all, but I don't buy racing games, sports, fighting and shooters to compete with a leaderboard. I buy/play them to play with other people. My wife n kids don't/can't play with me bc they don't play video games so I need online MP to play WITH other people.
Leave it to Evolution Studios to take the lazy way out and repeat their PS3 route. (ie Motorstorm 1 was an empty shell of a game) then slowly build up more and more features so you are willing to buy Motorstorm RC 2 and 3. pricks
