Grouvee: Review scores matter

Metacritic has a stranglehold on the review score industry, and you have to play by their rules to be a part of it. If a site wants to be included in the metascore, which seems to be all that publishers care about, then they have to put scores on their reviews. In a way, that's dictating to a reviewer how they should evaluate a product. I don't think putting a score on a review necessarily affects the content of a review too much, based on the sites I read, but I do think it ruins the usefulness of the review to the average consumer since Metacritic has gotten them hooked on just using that quick fix review score.

The story is too old to be commented.
