Fracture: TVG First Look at new PS3 & Xbox 360 brand

TVG takes a look at LucasArts' earth-shattering (quite literally) new game heading to Xbox 360 and PS3 in Summer 2008: "Fracture advances players to the year 2161, where ecological and seismological disasters have radically altered the planet's landscape, and a clash in ideologies places society on the threshold of war. In utilizing the core gameplay mechanic of Fracture, a destructive next-generation technology known as Terrain Deformation, players are equipped with an arsenal of futuristic weaponry to strategically reshape their surroundings on the fly.

two-player co-operative mode, has also been confirmed for Fracture, though once again we can only hope that this will open the experience to true co-op gameplay and puzzle-solving, and not just drop a Mason Briggs clone onto the battlefield alongside the original. Day 1 Studios is also working on 16-player online gameplay over Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, and whilst we are already anticipating their own takes on Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, we're also looking forward to seeing some original gametypes that take advantage of Terrain Deformation too...hopefully, at least."

I suggest people to take a look at Gamespot's E3 stagedemo of this game. It looks decent enough and considering what you can do in the game it's pretty impressive.

Only thing that worries me is repetetive enviroments. I hate that and I really hope this terrain deformation isn't just limited to the rocky surface seen in the footage shown.

All in all, I'm keeping this on my radar!
