And other handy tips to help you get around in Skyrim...
Just beat the main quest...loving it so far especially since it acts just like any other quest and once you finish it you can do whatever else you want.
I am level 81 and all skills at 100. Plus all perks and best armous. Thanks Ognum Infinuim book :D
"In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women." Tony Montana explaining how to "make it big" in Skyrim.
love it :)
Skyrim kicks all kinds of ass i played like 20 hours over the weekend i got it then i got assassins creed revalations & the Halo aniversary. Once i polish those off im going back to skyrim for a long long while!
Can't wait to buy my first house and deck it out! Does anybody have any suggestions as to what it should be? I'm thinking I'm just gonna buy the place in Whiterun but IDK.
The house in Markath is awesome, I recommend it. That is, once you pimp it out. So you're gonna be spending about 15 thousand golds on it
Yeah, don't start with Whiterun unless you just need a place for storage for awhile. One big reason not to get it is because it doesn't offer an enchanting upgrade.
I maxed out the house in Whiterun already. I had money to burn :)
I like the house in Solitude, it's 3 stories, but runs you up 25K for just the house. The only problem I've seen with the house, is that the weapon racks don't work .. Has anyone else noticed this? The racks in the Whiterun house works, not Solitude.
probably glitched, the rack in whiterun doesnt work for me
My racks don't work in rifton or whiterun.
Hmmm.. that's odd. Wonder if they'll eventually make a fix for it? Cause it'd be nice to put some special weapons in them, instead of chests.
Cast transmute with iron ore in your inventory: easy gold.
If only there was a guide that could teach me to do this in real life...
There is, a wealthy Asian fellow on a Bengal Tiger sells it on TV at 3 in the morning.
The only two women that I've met so far that I actually want to marry I can't. Lydia in Whiterun and Lisette in Solitude. Though I've read that not being able to marry Lydia is a bug that should soon be patched.
lol that sounded funny
I would've gone with a more pathetic sounding word than funny.
no kiss kiss, no bang bang tho, too bad ;p
nah... equip spells into you hands.... go up to to any NPC.... and just starting tapping the equip/unequip button... your arms keep raising up and down and it looks like you're working that booty.... haha it looked real funny when you do it to Astrid in the Dark Brotherhood... she is leaned over on the table, and just walk behind her... just keep tapping x... it's so hilarious.
Well, in real life I have done the first two, therefore the opposite of the third.
i love how in my prestigious manor in solitude the wife sleeps on a mat in the cellar lmfao
Don't think you can marry your horse though.... :(
skyrim how to get rich: open console, type in "player.additem 000000f (Amount of gold you want)" there ya go
a nice way to get money without using console commands is this: -buy all the iron ingots and leather strips you can -make a shitload of iron daggers -enchant the iron daggers with the banish enchantment (its the one that sends daedra back) -for the enchantment make sure to make it as powerfull as possible, even if it leaves the charge at just 1 hit but just use the lesser and petty soul gems, no need for anything bigger. -after that the dagger will have a price of 1800-2000 gold. *added benefits, you increase enchanting, speech and smithing in the process as well. -Finally if you want to sell those daggers quickly do the re-stock store glitch. Basically sell as much as you can, SAVE game, kill the store owner, then load. The owner will have re-stocked on everything and have money again. Also you can have fun killing the owner in diferent ways, lol w
Nice tip, but I have yet to find a trader with more than 1200 gold. :(
Well depending on your speech level you probably wont get more than 700-800 out of each, but its still some really fast money, also since the owner re-stocks you can keep increasing your enchanting and smithing skill as well, just dont increase too many levels at once or you might find yourself with a big dificulty spike. After a while that wont be a problem since the skill will be higher so it wont contribute so much to the overal level
Don't play video games ;)
these skyrim guides need to stop getting to the front page
more skyrim guides need to start making it to the front page
you can easily google them and skyrim guides ruin the game
yeah guides can take the fun out of things... but then again the game is so damn huge that many people out there will rely on the guide... for the simple fact they can't invest hours and hours and hours and hours like other gamers can. I used the wiki for Oblivion a lot... but that was mainly for the google map of Cyrodil... Gold is real easy to come by... just find something on earlier on that you like using and simple sell everything else that you don't use. transmute Iron Ore to Gold Ore.. is a super quick way... do a bunch of the misc bounty quests... the bounty will add up eventually. even dwarven stuff will get you some easy money if you stumble across a ruin or 2... but all that dwarven stuff weight adds up quick... the only thing I'm not sure about yet and it probably isn't in the game... but you collect the different materials to make/upgrade armor and weapons... I just thought that with the Gold Ore or Gold Ignots that you could just make your own gold pieces to use at the shops... now that would be cool if you could do that
That would be called counterfitting. And if Skyrim were real it would quickely destroy the economy. Of course so would transmuting iron to gold, but gees we have to have some liberties ;).
