Sony Taps Deutsch for $150M PlayStation Advertising Biz

Interpublic Group's Deutsch, Los Angeles, has won the $150 million PlayStation advertising account following a review by Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA), Advertising Age reports. The account includes duties for PS3, PS2, PS1, and the PlayStation network as well as all game titles. Deutsch's win breaks a 13-year relationship between SCEA and Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day, which was eliminated from contention yesterday.

The story is too old to be commented.

Sony is using a new agency to advertise. must be for the huge marketing blitz we're about to see in december. it'll be interesting to see if these guys do a better job than the ones who were doing it for the PS3 prior to that. because we barely saw any PS3 comercials in heavy rotation and barely any games comercials about the damn thing. this is gonna be good if they step it up, a new marketing strategy going forward for what will be the most intence and important year for Sony to make a statement.
with christmas being only the beginning. PUT up Or Get out.

and i believe Sony will be doing all they can to see to it that next year gamers get the right console.

the worst i ever saw about a gaming console!!
specially "this is living" maaan that was so boring and i didnt even know its for the ps3 until they said it its for ps3!
and it doesnt make sense! when i want to buy a console i dont want to see these kind of ads!!

commented that letting TBWA go was "another sony misstep", I would say they fired themselves over the last year.

Wow thats awesome, he and his company are one of the best NA ad marketeers. I cant wait to see their new marketing campaign

I hope to god someone at Sony put a bullet in the 'this is living' campaign. What a total and complete waste of money that trash was. The new ads that are appearing are what Sony should have been doing all along!
