Assassin's Creed: Revelations review - STN

STN Writes:

Revelations acts as a perfect case study for yearly releases and whether it can be maintained, in Assassin’s Creed’s case the answer seems to point to a ‘No!’ As much as I will miss a yearly dose of the historical series, I want something better and fresh from the experience much like Assassin’s Creed II brought. If that takes two or three years to come, so be it. The ground work is all here, but stronger variety in the mission structure and a new lead is needed to stop this series falling into the pit of repetitiveness that Call of Duty and the like have dug for themselves.

Rating: Excellent

Ubisoft has proven they can innovate and improve a game drastically in just one year. After AC3 next year, I sincerely hope they give the franchise a break until next gen. I'm completey burnt out by playing one every year, no matter how awesome the story and characters are.
