The Great Gaming Crusade: "Whether it’s books, movies, or games, forming a respectable trilogy is no easy task. To make it to the third installment, the object in question (in our case, games) must be well received by critics and fans alike. It must be such a wanted commodity that the creators are able to fund and develop a first, second and then third installment. But what happens when what makes the game popular and loved suddenly becomes tedious, dull and repetitive? How long can anything survive without some form of innovation? By now, Naughty Dog has built a strong fan base who constantly clamor over new titles. In my childhood, the Naughty Dog titles everyone had to have were of the Crash Bandicoot series. Today, that game is Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception."
