Historic issue 65 cover features Hideo Kojima (MGS 5 confirmed)

As part of Official PlayStation Magazines world exclusive chat and photo shoot, Hideo Kojima also gives his open and frank opinions on Metal Gear Solid Rising – the first PlayStation MGS he’s neither written nor directed – and openly discusses his plans for Metal Gear Solid 5 and Project Ogre for the first time.

You can't kill snake ever!!

sinncross2377d ago

All I know is that the ending to MSG4 was just incredibly stupid.

PhantomTommy2377d ago

Up until the last 20 minutes the ending was perfect.

Kos-Mos2377d ago

It`s a very common thing that what you can`t understand, you will not like. Especially americans have this mind.

Hicken2377d ago

Let's not start throwing around stereotypes, shall we?

ApplEaglElephant2377d ago

the big picture story was good, but the some of the execution was terrible near the end.

some of the characters were poorly acted. and some scenes were so cheesy.

I hope they dont add cheese on MGS5

"SNAKEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! It's not over! Not yet!"

PirateThom2377d ago

He already made this point. Snake and Otacon were supposed to have been tried and executed but the team were dead against it.

What is wrong with you guys? Like most of you, I'm a huge fan of the series, but Hideo Kojima WANTS to move on. He didn't want to make MGS4 to begin with, and as a result the game is full of metaphors to symbolize his feelings with both the series and it's portrayal to the 'fans'. People were too dense to understand MGS2's complex storyline and heavily themed plot (Raiden representing the player who wanted to be like Snake - just as the player wanted to play AS Snake) and intended to end the series there. Instead, against his original will, he designed MGS3 - a far more simple game that gave the babies what they wanted to stop them crying - MORE SNAKE!! and as he predicted, it was far better received. But you just couldn't leave it alone, you got greedy and wanted more and more - so a few death threats later, he makes MGS4. A game with a very troubled development, a tired Kojima who wanted to kill off the character and move on with another series. He tied up a 20 year old saga and you STILL wanted more. Snake is dead, the series is excellent - move on.

PirateThom2377d ago

We only want more because it's a great series and there's still a story to be told, MGS4 is the end, but there's definitely more story. Quality never suffered for the series when Kojima was behind the franchise. He's hoping Rising is a quality game so he can step down.

Honestly though, I hate it when developers focus on one franchise like this, I want a Zone of the Enders, I want a Snatcher, I want a new Kojima game.

Nate-Dog2377d ago

Peace Walker very much suffered in regards to the story quality, and so will PW2 because Kojima dragged it out so he could make 2 games to tell a story that should have been in one.

burgerman2377d ago

WTF are you talking about? The next thing you're going to say is Spike from Cowboy Bebop died in the last episode.

Laxman2377d ago

"Cowboy Bebop"

... The name speaks volumes... *Avoids at all costs*

RedDead2377d ago (Edited 2377d ago )

^^^ This unfortunate excuse of a person will never know the brilliance of Cowboy bebop
